Setia Putrajaya Development bags MCIEA 2011 Special Award

| | Setia Putrajaya Development Sdn Bhd was recently recognised for excellence in construction in the Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Awards (MCIEA) 2011. It took home a Special Award for its expertise in the Industrialised Building System (IBS) method. The annual awards ceremony is organised by the Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia and the special awards in IBS aims to recognise local contractors who have effectively adopted and utilised this construction method in their projects.
Under the IBS, components are produced in a controlled environment - either on site or off and is transported and assembled into construction works.
This is the second MCIEA win for the S P Setia Berhad Group, with the first being in 2005 when Setia Precast Sdn Bhd took home the award in the Major Scale Project.

S P Setia Foundation spends RM 20.2 million on Setia Adopted Children

The S P Setia Foundation recognised and rewarded 190 children under its Setia Adoption Programme (SAP) at its annual Excellence Awards Ceremony 2011 held recently on 14 January 2012.
This is the 10th consecutive year of the awards where students are given due recognition for their excellent results in the UPSR examinations. The SAP was founded in 2000 to fund the educational needs of underprivileged students nationwide and it includes primary, secondary, tertiary and bachelor degree students. To date, the Foundation has spent more than RM20.2 million on the programme. |
