There is this project going on with the team where I need to come up with a design for a web page. I wouldn't call it a distraction though but it could be a good short break for me. It will be me and my cubicle after all and with tight work and all, I could always use some inspiration booster.
It's the learning process which I find surprising about my internship and here is where you feel the need to put your best practical knowledge on the go. The pressure comes along too for as I were to learn everything from scratch about our company's foundation and get to see what's going on in the real market especially with a reputable company like S P Setia. More than it have to say, this internship itself came off as a new experience to me and it will never be the same in other places.
To my opinion, they are very productive. You find them staying back for work and you know projects are coming up for them. You find them in the office early morning writing emails and book-marking their up-coming events. They hold themselves high to manage their schedules on a daily basis and they have this can-do attitude about the work they do. Hence, that could be the rationale on the trail for our company's accreditation by Aon Hewitt as ‘Best Employer Malaysia 2015’ for artists themselves are not confined, but their output is.
The offer is good for new interns. You have all you will need as an intern-you get your own table to work your own troubles, you get food vouchers and a bathroom that works all the time. What more could one ask for?
I have good mentors with me here and I am gaining a lot from web trainings and knowledge learning with the team. Alex and the team helped me a lot with their personal advice and technical guidance. I think the people around me is what motivates me into learning the impossibilities. I will learn much more I think if I would have a long-term internship placement here at S P Setia and personally I would say the longer you stay with a growing company like Setia, the more opportunities you will have, provided that you continue to learn and maintain good horizontal and vertical relationships with other employees. This is the kind of development I yearn for.
With all the learning here, I would say yes.
