Topping out marks milestone for an Eco Sanctuary
29 Sep 2015
S P Setia Berhad witnessed the topping out ceremony of its second development Eco Sanctuary in Singapore. The development is located along Chestnut Avenue, off Upper Bukit Timah Road and adjoining the Zheng Hua Park. This 24-storey condominium offers residents the much sought-after panoramic view of Singapore's largest nature reserve and it has been designed to emulate the ecology of its surroundings.
Officiating the topping out ceremony were Dato' Khor Chap Jen, Acting President & CEO of S P Setia Berhad, Datuk Wong Tuck Wai, Acting Deputy President and COO of S P Setia Berhad, Neo Keng Hoe, General Manager of S P Setia International (S) Pte Ltd and Derick Pay, Director of Tiong Seng Contractors Pte Ltd, the main contractor of Eco Sanctuary.
Inspired by nature, the development's design reflects the intricacies of a butterfly. The layout of the site traces the metamorphosis of the butterfly from the egg to the 'papillon'. A first-of-its-kind butterfly trail, housing butterflies of various indigenous species amidst an ecosystem of trees, shrubs and flowers, will run the length of this verdant luxurious condominium.
The condominium features three blocks of 483 apartments enjoying lush greenery and breath-taking views of the central nature reserve. Apartments come with the option of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 2+study, 3-bedroom, 3+study or 4-bedroom.
Dragonfly bio-ponds and songbird gazebos dot the landscape of the area. Ecologically themed gardens such as the Papillon Path, Sunbird Walk, Dragonfly Walk and Lotus Creek are available for the residents' pleasure.
Apart from that, the landscaping of the area is designed to integrate with the adjoining park and lead to a cycling and jogging trail. All these eco influenced features has earned Eco Sanctuary the Green Mark Platinum awarded by BCA. Other green features of the development includes rainwater harvesting, drip irrigation with rain and motion sensors.
Resort style facilities are also included as part of the development which comprise sky terraces, a sky bridge with panoramic view, gymnasium, tennis court, swimming pool, clubhouse and alfresco decks. The sky terraces of each tower offer the residents gourmet dining rooms, cocktail bars, and massage spas for private parties.
Eco Sanctuary is S P Setia's second successful venture into Singapore. S P Setia obtained Temporary Occupation Permit (T.O.P) two months ahead of schedule for its first development in Singapore - 18 Woodsville, a freehold condominium located near Potong Pasir MRT station, on the rim of the city.
