MBO cinemas discover EcoHill Walk

Setia EcoHill Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of S P Setia Berhad, Malaysia’s leading property developer, inked an agreement with MBO Cinemas today, to confirm MBO Cinemas as its newly launched EcoHill Walk Mall’s first tenant, taking up 58,000 sq. ft. out of the 170,000 sq. ft. nett lettable area (NLA) in the neighbourhood mall at Setia EcoHill, Semenyih. 

Spread across a substantial land size of 17.5 acres, EcoHill Walk is planned into the sustainable township of Setia EcoHill to cater to the retail, lifestyle and entertainment needs of its community. With an estimated overall GDV of RM900 million, EcoHill Walk comprise three phases of developments which are 80 units of commercial retail shops to be built across eight blocks, EcoHill Walk Mall which will house MBO Cinema on top of other retail and lifestyle outlets and 890 units of serviced apartments. 

EcoHill Walk Mall will feature a 4-storey mall with 2,000 car park bays to ensure ample and sufficient parking for visitors while the commercial retail shops features two, three or four storey units with standard land size of 8.4m x 18.75m. The Commercial Retail Shop have received strong interest since it open to public during the Launch Preview on 6 Nov 2016. 

The jewel of this development is The Gem @ EcoHill Walk with its unique Diamond Façade. It is designed to be a premium entertainment centrepiece of the entire development. The 23,000 sq. ft. iconic structure enjoys a fantastic view of the waterscapes that surround it and it is earmarked to host premium entertainment and fine dining. 

The overall splendid design of EcoHill Walk is inspired by the Grand Canyon, where the massive steep canyon walls flanking each other create a valley that is vibrant and alive, bursting with activity and movement in its hollow. 

In similar fashion, EcoHill Walk is designed to simulate a structural canyon where activity is rife in its central walkway lined by the commercial retail shops facing each other. Just as being at the Grand Canyon is about taking in its grandeur, Ecohill Walk offers a lively mix of a man made stream, water sculptures and lush landscapes between a “canyon” of commercial retail shops that serve as an attraction on its own beyond its commercial purposes. 

EcoHill Walk is located in Setia EcoHill a carefully planned sustainable township spread over 673 acres. Conceptualised and developed as an eco and self-sustained township, Setia EcoHill has flourished over the past three years, delivering the RM80 million LEKAS-EcoHill Link, landscape, waterscapes and themed gardens, an international school as well as over 1,300 homes to its first phase’s customers. 

By year 2020, the projected population within 15-minutes’ drive proximity is expected to reach approximately 300,000 residents. Furthermore, approximately 10,000 houses in this township will be ready in the next 4 years. In the pipeline, Setia EcoHill is planning to launch its phase 2 semi-detached homes in Q1 2017.
