S P Setia latest Johor development - Setia Eco Gardens scored a first when its Sales Office won the Best Office/Commercial Project Award (Built Category) at the inaugural Cityscape Asia Real Estate Award 2008 held in Singapore. Dato’ Voon Tin Yow, Chief Operating Officer of S P Setia received the award trophy at the gala dinner recently.
The single-storey Sales Office aptly dubbed “Eco Gallery” is a unique structure that stay true to the tenets of green architecture. The signature “green” feature of the Sales Gallery is the main façade made of a “living grass wall” measuring 80 x 60 meter, possibly the biggest in South East Asia that helps to reduce heat absorption and create a welcoming ambience for visitors.
Setia Eco Gardens Celebrates Earth Day 2008
Earth Day which falls on 22 April annually was celebrated with much fanfare at Setia Eco Gardens, with various educational yet fun activities such as tree-planting ceremony, eco discovery tour, exhibition by the Johor Department of Environment, flea market, eco food bazaar and recycling campaign to raise environmental awareness among the general public.
Mr Chang Khim Wah, Executive Director of S P Setia said that the event was aimed at imparting awareness on the important role that every single member of Planet Earth can play to arrest environmental decline such as pollution, global warming and depletion of natural resources.
